Invite to Workspace

Information about workspace and project invitations:

How to Invite Someone to Your Workspace?

Admins can invite new users by going to Workspace settings → People.

When inviting someone, you’ll need to choose whether they should join as a Member or a Guest:

  • The Member role is intended for coworkers and internal team members.
  • The Guest role is intended for external collaborators.

To learn more about Members and Guests check out the Roles and Seats guide.

Default Seat Type

By default, new users are assigned the free Viewer Seat when they are invited to a workspace.
This means they cannot contribute to projects as editors until an Admin upgrades their seat to an Editor Seat.

If you want new users to automatically receive Editor Seats when they join, you can update the default seat type in Workspace Settings → Security.

Bulk Inviting

There’s a hidden, but smart, feature in the invite modal for inviting multiple users at once:

  1. Copy a list of emails to your clipboard. Emails can be separated by spaces, commas, or semicolons.
  2. Paste the list into the first email input field in the invite modal.
  3. The emails will automatically be split into individual inputs for quick and easy sending.

Inviting Someone to a Single Project

If you want someone to access only one project, or a few specific ones, you can invite them to the workspace as a Guest. This role is best for external collaborators, giving them access only to the projects you assign.

To send a project invite:

  1. Go to the project.
  2. Open the Collaborators tab.
  3. Send the invite from there.

Anyone invited through here will join the workspace as a Guest by default.

If you later want them to become a full workspace Member, you can update their role in Settings → People.
