What Is Workspace Discoverability?
Workspace discoverability offers a low-friction way for coworkers to join your workspace. When this feature is enabled, any new GeoVision users who sign up with your verified email domains will be prompted to join your workspace. They can request to join, which notifies all Admins by email. Admins can then approve or reject the request from the Join Requests section under Workspace Settings → People.
- If a request is rejected, the user cannot request to join again, but you can still invite them manually later.
- Enabling this feature is highly recommended to help coworkers join the correct workspace instead of creating new ones. This reduces confusion and limits the need for manual invites.
- Workspace discoverability does not prevent users from creating other workspaces; it simply encourages joining the same one.
- To fully restrict workspace creation, an Enterprise plan is required.

How to Make a Workspace Discoverable?
Admins can enable discoverability in Workspace Settings → Security by following these steps:
1. Connect Verified Domains to Your Workspace
Workspace discoverability works by linking one or more verified email domains to your workspace. You can verify a domain from the top of the Security Settings page.
- Your email domain is likely already verified if you signed up using a custom company email.
- If so, you can add it as a verified domain to your workspace with a single click.
If you signed up using a public provider (e.g., Gmail, Outlook), your domain won’t be verified. - To add more domains, first verify additional email addresses under Email Settings. Any verified addresses will show up as available domains you can connect to your workspace. for quick and easy sending.
Joining Without Admin Approval
You can choose how users join once they discover your workspace:
- Request to join (requires admin approval)
- Join instantly (no admin approval required)
Instant joining can be enabled from the same page where you activate workspace discoverability.
Note: Use instant joining with caution.
It’s best suited for Enterprise plan. On other plans, this option may lead to uncontrolled billing growth due to unexpected user additions.an update their role in Settings → People.
